You should be careful about going overboard however, as overly extravagant or ornate bridal shower invitations may come across as tacky or tasteless. Of course you don’t want something that looks too bare or simplistic, as this is your bridal shower we are talking about after all. You will ideally want your bridal shower invitations to have a classy and tasteful look.
That being said, there have been instances wherein bridal shower invitations were designed in a playful or casual tone, which mirrors the personalities of the bride and groom. In cases wherein the bridal shower is to be held for only a small group of friends and family, a more casual approach may be just the right thing.
